European Day of Languages

Academies within the Sheffield Hub of L.E.A.D. Academy Trust worked together to celebrate the European Day of Languages. This included an online French lesson provided by Birley Academy and lots of exciting in-school activities for all L.E.A.D. primary academies across Sheffield. A range of fun and educational after-school activities was also hosted by Birley Academy, designed for pupils from L.E.A.D. primary academies across the city.

Virtual Reality in the Classroom

L.E.A.D. IT Services have a bank of 32 ClassVR virtual reality headsets that are available for schools that receive services from L.E.A.D. IT to use, free of charge. In addition to the equipment, academies can opt to receive an Introduction to ClassVR session that explains how to get going with the ClassVR system. Well before even receiving the equipment, schools can prepare lessons to optimise their time with the equipment.

1:1 Classrooms

As the use of digital tools becomes increasingly important L.E.A.D. IT Services is working with an increasing number of schools that are looking to make more effective use of digital to support improved learning outcomes through the provision of a device per pupil.

Moving to the provision of a device per pupil is a different process for each school, and we are happy to discuss both the technical and educational options available to you on your journey.
